Placemaking (Vision & Positioning)

Vision and Project Positioning forms part of the Environmental Planning service we provide and would preferably follow independent market research.

The vision or the project positioning process is designed to inform the decision making process at every level. The process of quality historical and cultural research is designed to illustrate the qualities of a site which can be paired with current market conditions to portray a clear and concise project identity. At sym. studio we strive to gain a strong understanding of the specific qualities of a project site which can inform and determine the physical and cultural make up of a masterplanned community. Whether the site is located in Sydney, Lower Hunter or internationally we can deliver strong project identity through our design process.

There are many intrinsic qualities contained within the landscape that are not immediately evident. Our process of research and investigation exposes these qualities and with our specific expertise are able to translate and incorporate this information into the physical make up of a project. This built form interpolation can be most pronounced within the open space network , where there needs to be a strong connection to the land and a dedication to providing a strong sense of belonging for residents and visitors.

Our talent team of in-house designers, planners and landscape architects have received much international praise for projects that have initiated this process early on in the life of a project and stay committed to following the vision through to the sketch design phase of a project.
