CESSNOCK CEMETERIES MASTERPLAN

Placemaking & Community Visioning / Masterplanned Communities + Open Space

Sym Studio were engaged by Cessnock City Council, in collaboration with Studio GL, to undertake an engagement process to support the development of masterplans for the two largest of councils twelve cemeteries and Guiding Principles that will inform the development of the remaining cemeteries within the Local Government Area (LGA).

AVALON BEACH COMMUNITY VISION GUIDING DOCUMENT

Placemaking & Community Visioning

The grass roots community empowerment program was for Avalon Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, within the Pittwater Municipality.

Client: Avalon Beach Core Working Group
Project Role: The process was initiated by the Avalon Preservation Trust & Chamber of Commerce, facilitated by Sym. Studio and endorse by Pittwater Council. We facilitated workshops to capture the views and aspirations of key stakeholder groups to present a succinct vision statement and key place principles to Pittwater Council and inform the future Placemaking Process for Avalon.
